We offer comprehensive support for people who wish to enter Germany with the Chancenkarte (§ 20a AufenthG) in order to find a suitable job.
This card improves your chances of making contact with German employers and securing qualified employment.
This service is aimed at skilled workers from countries outside the EU, the EEA or Switzerland who have a foreign professional or academic qualification that is fully recognized in Germany.
Alternatively, we also address people who have obtained their university degree or professional qualification in Germany.
This service is aimed at specialists who score at least six points in the points system and have completed qualified training.
This option is aimed in particular at people whose education or professional experience abroad is recognized, who have the necessary language skills and whose livelihood is secure.
You need either a fully recognized foreign professional or academic qualification in Germany or a degree obtained in Germany.
The points system is only relevant for you with option 2. If your qualification is not fully recognized or you cannot provide proof of a German educational qualification, you must achieve at least six points in the points system. Points are awarded for the following criteria:

Please note that all information must be supported by appropriate evidence or certificates.
You must provide proof of German language skills at least at level A1 or English language skills at least at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
You must prove that your livelihood is secured for the duration of your stay in Germany, for example by means of a blocked account or a declaration of commitment.
PS: Blocked account with at least 1,027 euros per month for 2024 / From January 1, 2025, the assumed annual standard requirement, which must be paid into the blocked account when applying for a visa, is 11,904 euros.
The Chancenkarte is initially issued for a maximum of one year, during which time you can look for qualified employment in Germany.
You are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week in a part-time job.
You can also take up trial employment for up to two weeks per employer.
As soon as you have found a concrete job, you can apply for a corresponding residence permit at the relevant immigration office.
